A candlelight vigil to remember the lives of 100 Whistler sled dogs slaughtered last spring will be held in 39 cities around the globe Saturday April 23rd. The goal of the vigil is to make people better aware of animal rights issues and to affect change to animal cruelty laws in Canada. The incident came to light when the man who killed the dogs received compensation from WorkSafe B.C. after claiming he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the killings.
A facebook vigil will be held on April 23rd in honor of these 100 sled dogs senselessly slaughtered. Show your support by typing “HOWL” in your status on April 23rd.
Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. ~Author Unknown
