Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

There is No Holiday for Rescue

The above dog was dumped at a train station in Sofia, Bulgaria three days before Christmas Eve.  This poor, confused dog waited for his family to return but they never showed.

He refused to leave the train station even when attacked by another dog.  He just sat and waited.

A call went out to Colonel Angels Bulgarian Street Dogs.  And even though their funds were depleted, they sent volunteers out to rescue the dog they named Joseph.  They drove 4 hours to get him.

Animal rescuers don’t take holidays.   Oh they will celebrate Christmas and New Years with their families, open presents under a tree, cook a turkey, and make cookies.  But when that phone call comes, even on Christmas eve, nothing else is a priority.

You know who you are.

How heartless to leave this beautiful dog alone in the cold. Thanks and blessings to the rescue that took him in. They surely are Angels !

How can anyone abandon their little fur babies right before a Holiday? So Thankful for the rescue though. I hope Joseph finds a good loving home. I know most of us on here have bought treats or little coats or whatever for their babies. Mine had a good Christmas and I will continue to spoil them rotten. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and an even better New Year.

It breaks my heart to read stories like this….Joseph would have died there, waiting for his "family", if not for the rescuers. Thank you for saving him. He deserves a family who is worthy of him, someone who would risk their life for him.

So glad that he is fine and has a good home. He has shone the untimate loyality to the humans who dumped him and they don't deserve it. Thanks to the rescures and big dog kisses to them.
