I put my dog down last week. The story I wrote for her is based on a different life than the dogs that inspired this poem. I’m sorry for them.

Google “Euthanasia Without Consent” you’ll find there are laws on the books to start killing humans under this same type of reasoning, so think twice before you write off these dogs as you could be next. In human euthanasia it only requires three doctors to sign for it and they do not have to tell the “patient” or their family until after their beloved family member is dead. Not cool and a horrible way to died because you are considered a “useless eater” by the medical establishment.

Wow, this is so strong. It is the saddest, but most beautiful thing I have read. I can’t stop crying. I want to run to the nearest shelter and rescue them all! When I read this, I look down at my dog laying at my feet, and cry more. My Anugus was a rescued dog, rescued twice actually. I am proud to say he found his forever home here, I couldn’t imagine anyone putting him down. Or my life without him!

I wish I had tons of acres of ground, I would save all the dogs that are left to die and let them live a happy life. I just get sick when I hear of all these animals being put to sleep. I know that God is really upset over this. People need to realize just how much love these wonderful animals have to give. I cry just about every time I visit this site. If only I could do something. My heart goes out to them. At least they will be with God and taken care of in a way that only God can.
