You know it Virginia!

Marcy and Barbara, thank you both so much for your kind words, support and following. It makes it worth every minute of the time I put into this when I get comments like yours.

I'm sure that both of your babies are well loved and spoiled and if they could would thank you both each and every day.

Marcy, my friends who have rescue/adopted dogs call that their 'Gotcha Day' or 'Annifursary' but I have no doubt it was a birth for her, into a wonderful new life. So early happy birthday hugs to your baby, she definitely deserves her independence day!

Barbara, it is so sad that people treat your sweet pitties the way they do. I have many, many friend who have pitties or are involved in pit rescue and they often tell me the same thing. To be honest, my other half bought into all the hype too, until he actually met a pit puppy, then he just fell in love and couldn't tell me enough stories about how sweet and wonderful and loving this dog was. He was a convert and I think many people would be if they only gave this wonderful breed the chance is so deserves.

Your point about the 'Vicktory' dogs is so true. Look at those dogs, the life of abuse, neglect and horror they lived for so long and now most of them are doing wonderfully. What a testament!!

Give your sweeties hugs from me, I'd never turn away from them!

I love your posts, you are truly a great animal lover. I own two 16 month old pit bulls. They are the sweetest, smartest boys and they are my world. It kills me the way they are perceived in public. I watch people cross the street to avoid coming within 25 feet of them and the "hurt" look on their little faces just breaks my heart. My boys are trained to behave, to be good and not bother anyone. They don't attack, bark or growl at anything. Yet, I have to contstantly watch the latest on breed bans because they are on the "list". It isn't fair that they may be held accountable for what a few idiot thugs have trained their dogs to do. Those dogs have no quality of life, they don't know what it feels like to be lovingly touched or played with. They have never slept in a soft bed, know what toys are, or have ever been treated with human compassion. They trust no one, except the horrible people that make them do horrible things. The breed is so loyal to their owners which is what makes them so easily manipulated. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that these owners need to be punished, severely for what they taught their dogs to do. The dogs deserve a chance to be rehabilitated (just check out the "Vicktory" dogs progress. It is truly amazing!) and their humans need to rot in jail! God Bless you for the great work you do and keep it up! The little creatures need you!

HI!

I always read your articles and what I love about reading what you write is that you are without a doubt an ANIMAL LOVER!

I have a rescue GSD will be 6 yrs. on July 4th...she had 4owners all abused her. Too bad no one knew her actual birthday so I celebrate on the day I adopted her...she'll be 8 yrs old.

Yes, she doesn't like the mailman or the UPS man or other dogs!! I wouldn't change her for all the money in the world. For some reason she was sent to me and made my life worthwhile...she's second to my grandson!

If not your articles and your constant advocacy towards animals maybe the HUMANS that own would make these animals have a quality of life that they so deserve!

God Bless!!

It's so true - all dog problems are directly because of the owners behaviour.
