Now this is a story and these are pictures you definitely won’t see every day! Petri, a pelican at an exotic bird farm in Germany was getting ready to enjoy a snack when Katjinga, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, raced in and snatched Petri’s food in midair.
‘I was preparing food for the birds in our outdoor kitchen, when I noticed Petri at my side looking for a snack,’ explained 38-year-old Roland Adam who runs the farm. ‘I decided to feed her one of the chicks I had been preparing when Katjinga raced in, caught the frozen bird mid-air and gobbled up Petri’s dinner.’
Petri wasn’t too happy with Katjinga and made a valient attempt to retrieve his dinner.
‘It was hilarious,’ laughs Roland. ‘We have so many animals on the farm that they are very tame and at ease with each other. ‘Katijinga is no different and she was more than happy to allow Petri to come in for closer inspection.’
“You see a lot of things on my farm but I have never seen anything like this before and I just had to get my camera to prove it was real,” he said. “But I suppose when it came down to it, Katijina was just too quick.”

this is so funny….i nearly peed my knickers laughing. when i went 2 florida a number of years ago i was having some breakfast on the beach. i had 2 pieces of toast n just as i was about 2 take a bite of 1 a pelican swooped down n stole it………LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
