In a videotaped incident in February, an abuser was caught kicking, beating and tossing 4 dogs in a yard in High Point, NC. After a bit of mistaken identity, the real abuser was named but couldn’t be found. Now, after 6 month Jack McCall is finally in custody!
After a Crimestoppers tip, police arrested McCall just after 3 p.m. this afternoon at 903 Thissell St. today. Initially he tried to hide his identity but after questioning did admit who he was.
McCall has been charged with three counts of Cruelty to animals as well as one count each of failure to appear in court, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
He’s currently being held on a $92K bond.
Unfortunately for the 4 dogs that were subjected to abuse at the hands of McCall, they were euthanized in April. There was a bill for almost $1500 for care and treatment which no one paid and the shelter has a policy of not adopting pitbulls, rottweilers and chows. These poor dogs did not have a chance! A life of brutal abuse at the hands of the one person who was supposed to care for them, and then death. So not only did McCall abuse them, he effectively also killed them!
