Lian and Jody, I agree and understand. Everyday it breaks my heart as I read these stories and see the pictures of man’s inhumanity to man’s best friend. Like you Jody, I have two pups and I love them dearly and just the thought of them being hurt or in pain would kill me. I cannot imagine what could ever make ‘people’ do the things to dogs and animals that they do.

It is my hope that by bringing these stories together for people to see, that I can raise the awareness of what people are capable of, not that I think it comes as much of a surprise. But if by pushing this in people’s faces, it can awaken one person to make a difference, if it can save some lives and ease some pain, then it is worth the heartbreak I go through everyday writing this and bringing it to the attention of those who read it! I hope you share it and tell others to read it to and get the word out.

We need stronger laws and harsher punishments for people who perpetrate these cruelties on the defenseless and innocent!

I was just thinking the same thing as Lian. I read this website every day, and every day I’m more horrified than the day before because of the things that people willingly and knowingly do to such beautiful creatures. I truly believe that dogs are proof of the existence of God. I am blessed to share my life with two lab mixes, and I would give my life for either one of “my girls” and would go to the ends of the earth to find anyone who ever hurt them. People who are capable of such cruelty have to be sociopaths in the making – no conscience at all.

I’m going to have to stop reading these posts. I can’t bear what people are capable of doing. This so-called owner needs to be locked in a garage for a very long while without food. Problem is they don’t seem to learn anything from it. Or feel shame or remorse. How could this guy (I assume), sleep at night? I can’t sleep at night wondering how many animals are needlessly suffering right now.
