My friends, note this face well, it needs to be plastered everywhere! This waste of human life is 21-year-old Arsenio Horvath of Orange County, FL. Horvath raped his dog, an 8-year-old Whippet named Silvy, so badly a number of times that a vet determined her internal and external injuries so severe she had to be euthanized.
An anonymous tipster said that Horvath was abusing his dog. When deputies found Horvath at his home near Bithlo, they saw that the dog’s legs were duct taped together and a cloth was pressed to her genital area. He was told to take Silvy to vet.
At the vet, after finding out how much treatment would cost, he refused to authorize it and was encouraged to sign the dog over to animal service. At that time a vet determined the dog’s injuries were too severe and had no choice but to euthanize the dog.
A necropsy revealed male DNA inside the dog.
Horvath was arrested, charged with animal cruelty and admitted to sexually abusing the dog on at least 6 occasions. His reasoning… his excuse… awww, he was lonely.
A judge set his bail at $1000 then ordered home confinement and prohibited him from contact with farm or domestic animals.
Unbelievably, bestiality is not even a crime in Florida, so all that Horvath can be charged with is animal cruelty. Another bestiality incident in FL, in Ocala, caused one woman, an office manager at Ocala Animal Emergency Hospital, Cindy McManus, to create a petition to have the law changed.
“The idea of doing anything like this to an animal is just so depraved I’m making it my mission to change this law,” said McManus.

Personally the thought that Horvath could be out walking the streets anytime soon is terrifying to me. Who or what is going to be the his victim the next time he gets “lonely”… another family pet…. a neighborhood child… an elderly person who cannot defend themselves??

OMG, how sick is this. This POS should have his legs tied together and have a pole rammed up inside him until he bleeds to death. That would be my mild version of what to do to him. Poor Silvy. May she rest now with God and have the wonderful life there that she should have had on earth. At least this POS won't be able to harm her anymore. I hope that petition gets passed. Moego1, I signed the pitition and I am in IL. But this lousy example of a human being should be hog tied and have the same done to him, only from cell mates who love animals. His reasoning behind this, that he was lonely, OMG, what kind of comment and excuse is that? A dog is supposed to be your best friend to soothe you in your time of lonliness, but by being a dog, not some sex toy. Apparently he does not understand nor will he ever understand the meaning of a relationship between a human and a canine. Canines can be the best medicine in the world for a person, whether a person is just home sick with a cold or flu, they suffer from ADD, are in a nursing home, or are terminally ill, and last but not least, just for the sake of great mental health. Bad day at work? Go home to your furbabies and get hugs and kisses – bad stuff from work is all forgotten.
Poor Silvy, you my sweet did not deserve what had happened to you. You RIP sweetie, no one will ever hurt you again. There will be so many that will be there to meet you at Rainbow Bridge. As for your former human companion, I hope he rots in hell where he belongs, he is a sub species.

Not only did I sign and pass on to all the animal people on my list, I also sent to Florida contacts, two of which have dog related businesses. Thank you for NOT signing this petition. We do not need your signature, we do not want it and the animals certainly do not. With your defense of bestiality, heaven help them. It is obvious that you have issues that need addressing. This is not the site, nor is this the issue. The issue is about trying to provide some measure of justice for all animals who are victims of this aberrant practice that you appear to be intent upon defending.
Your posts indicate that those of us on this blog are guilty of specieism, by separating ourselves and sexual practices from that of the animals. This in itself is erroneous. Specieism is the name given to the belief that different species deserve and should be given different considerations, with humans placed at the top of the pecking order, allowing them to make whatever decisions to all those species considered to be less than the human, as well a ranking of different species. It has nothing to do with sexual practices or preferences, orientation, or aberrations.
If these terrible acts had been committed on any human they would be called sexual abuse, molestation and rape and the perpetrator would be thusly charged with this Class A felony. Sadly, for animals, and because of specieism, these victims are not afforded that justice or that protection. Animal cruelty is rarely charged as other than a misdemeanor. Those of us on this site, as well as others who have signed the petition, are seeking charges, with resulting punishment, that is more fitting to the crime. Currently, the name given to a crime that could result is such punishment is on the books as being the charge of bestiality. Call it what you like.

As for the Singer article, it is targeted to a discussion of bestiality and the argument as to whether animals are capable of being consenting parties to such activities or not capable of doing so. If it were so, I am sure that at any of the previous National Animal Rights Conferences there would have been workshops, programs, and discussion panels on the "positive side of this practice". I was not sure how to respond to the comment and what information was being sought and most of all to the comment about being stunned. Particulary as the question asked about food choices, as if this was what being vegan meant.
Vegan, due to so much current food press, is woefully and incorrectl discussed as being about what one eats. Indirectly, it is, directly it is not. One may not eat meat but that by a long shot does not make one a Vegan no matter how Kenneth signs himself. So the I am stunned remark threw me off. I could not decipher what was "stunning", the Vegan ethics, or the fact the Kenneth had the audacity to call himself Vegan, when he is no not matter what he may think. Vegans would be both ethically and morally appalled at his postion on bestiality while claiming to be Vegan. I know what a vegan is. They don't eat meat or any meat by-products such eggs or cheese. Some do not eat cooked foods only foods in their natural state. The explanation of what being a vegan is (means) by discussion it as dietary practice is misleading. According to the Arcticles of Agreement of the Vegan Society (founding orgainzation of Veganism and founder Donal Watson) Veganism "…denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude — as far as is possible and practical — all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment".
It is the exploitation and cruelty to animals portion that makes it impossible for Kenneth to be Vegan, regardless of what he claims, not his dietary practices.
The not eat cooked food is a Raw Foodist..who may or may not be Vegan.

To give everybody an idea of some of the sick people that have been in the family, my Aunt Mary Ion's husband, had been raping sheep for years. His kids knew about it and didn't tell my aunt until she walked in on it after a few years of marriage. She had finally retired and was home more. Frank would stick the poor animals rear feet into his boots so they could not get away.
On another note, we had a guy arrested up here in Wisconsin a few months ago. He was already on probation for killing a horse and then having sex with the corpse. Last winter, the cops went looking for him and found him with blood and all kinds of gross pieces hanging off of the front of his pants. When they questioned him, he told them that he had seen a dead deer laying in the roadway and dragged it to the side of the road. And for some odd reason, that dead deer sexually aroused him. DO WHAT??? What could it have been about a deer, that more than likely hit by a car, that would scream, "I want sex!"

There is a difference between bestiality and rape. However in this case this was rape. If you have to duct tape the bloody dog legs, then yes. If the dog had to be put asleep, then yes. If the dog had injuries then yes. It was rape.
I don't see how sex can be consensual with an animal. Animals cannot speak. No matter how many animal activists may say they can, they cannot. The only way of letting us know things is actions. I don't agree with a lot of you animal activists on most issues.
But anywhy, if anyone has animals in their family, please treat them like you would your own family. Having sex with them… is something like that of incest I would believe.
