Dog Suffers Horrific Starvation Death – VIDEO

For well more than a month a 2 yr-old pitbull lay locked in a wire cage, outside, no shelter, no food, no water.  This dog suffered a horrible, cruel death at the hands of a Troy, NY woman, 48 yr-old Deborah Bradley.

Woman Starves Dog to Death

Neighbors told police they has spoken to Bradley about how poorly the dog look but they were ignored. But Bradley says that she only noticed the dog had been there on Thanksgiving and the next day she was arrested.

When police arrived at the house they found the dog in a wire cage with no protection from the cold weather. It’s collar too large to fit its emaciated body. Only sticks and small rocks were found in the dog’s stomach and its fur caked with feces.

“This dog suffered a horrible, painful, elongated death,” said Troy Police Officer James Bottillo. “The animal population can’t make a 911 call. As I said, all it can do is sit and yelp in its kennel until it doesn’t have enough energy to do that.”

When police arrived on the scene, food was found in the dogs bowl, they believe it was purposely placed after the dog’s death.

According to Bottillo, “There were no bite marks or nothing to indicate any type of effort on the dog’s part to eat that food that was in the bowl.”

When the dog was taken in for a necropsy, the vet called the condition of the dog “horrific.”

“When the vet was able to get into the dog stomach, the contents in the dog’s stomach were some rocks and sticks which we took custody of,” says Bottillo.

If this doesn’t make you think of Christine Abrams and Ella… another cruel, heartless monster abandoning an innocent and defenseless dog to suffer a prolonged, painful death.

Bradley was arraigned on felony aggravated animal cruelty charges. Police say she knew exactly what was going on.

“I can tell you that she’s well aware…”

If Bradley is convicted she could face a year or more behind bars.

Oh, there’s no doubt she knew exactly what was going on, she just didn’t give a damn!  It’s people like this how need a taste of the cruel medicine they dish out!

  • My friend and coworker volunteers for Out of the Pits in Troy, NY. Please write to be sure this woman gets the maximum penalty. Even if she were forced to starve to death in a cage herself, it still wouldn’t be justice for this dog because she deserves it and this poor baby did not. There can be no justice for this. May God rest this precious baby’s soul and somehow let this innocent creature know that there are some of us who would have loved him totally. He hever had the chance to know what life should be like and it’s so heartbreaking to think of how he suffered so long and lonely.

i know this woman is guilty, but i have to ask again, why did the neighbors not call when they knew the dog was in trouble? to me, they are just as guilty as the owner.

  • AIR

Will this insanity ever STOP?!?!?!? Just like that Abrams [censored] [censored] [censored] sub-human.

  • JANET MITCHELL

WTF WHY DIDN’T THOSE NEIGHBORS CALL ANIMAL CONTROL THEY WOULD HAVE COME & TAKEN THE DOG. THESE PEOPLE NED TO BE CHARGED TOO BECAUSE IF I HAD SEEN THIS & CONFRONTED THIS POS & SHE SAID THIS TO ME I WOULD HAVE GONE STRAIGHT HOME & CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL. R.I.P. SWEET DOG FOR NOW YOIU ARE FREE FROM PAIN & CAN RUN & PLAY FOREVER.

  • When I receive the addresses of who to write to, I can post it here. I can even give you a sample letter to help you write it. I can’t stand to think of this poor thing suffering like this. There’s no reason for it and it’s just so sad.

  • C. Shumate

I am attaching an address and telephone number for the Troy DA. Please write and call urging him to punish this horrid sad excuse for a human being to the fullest extent of the law.
Please be courteous when you call, we want him on our side. I know how our emotions can get to us, I personally would LOVE to have some one on one time with this evil person, but we need to keep our cool heads.
    Thanks so much,

The neighbors ARE just as GUILTY!

  • Laura Inglis

I am from this area and we are not only going to be protesting at her next court date, but we also will be hammering the D.A.’s office with letters. Anyone who would like to join us in the letter sending the info is:

    Honorable Jevon Garrett
Assistant District Attorney of Rensselaer County

  • C. Shumate

Thank you Laura for the protests. We need more people like you to show the courts and public this will not be tolerated in our society. I assure you I will be writing a letter.

  • I will be writing a letter to the D.A. This innocent dog could not speak for itself and died a horrible death. I hope she is convicted and gets that year in jail. This should be a wake up call to police when they are called and neighbors who know that there is a dog outside in the elements in a cage with no shelter. There is no excuse for this horrible abuse nor is there any excuse for indifference!

  • Kathy Bostwick

A year is definately not enuf – I too will write a letter.
And I agree with other posters – wtf is up with the neighbors????? Had I seen something as horriffic as this – I would have been in my house calling whoever – whatever – to get that poor dog outta there.
A life is a life – regardless but sadly, in this case, I would have rather seen that poor dog get a shot then to end his life the way he did.
Don’t jump on me – euthanasia is NOT the way to go – but in the rare instance it is…yes, I am for it.
This poor dog suffered long and painful and so should his so called ‘owner’
The “W”itch should spend 5 years in jail if not more.
    1 year – a an f-ing joke.

Kathy, I understand exactly what you mean and as unpleasant as it is to say, reality is that any creature would be better off humanely euthanized rather than suffer so cruelly. No, it is not a popular opinion and it hurts me to even say it or think it but it is the truth.
Of course in a perfect world, every pet would have a wonderful and loving home and I hope and pray this is something that, day by day, we can work toward. And no healthy animal would ever have to face euthanasia.
