Kathy, I understand exactly what you mean and as unpleasant as it is to say, reality is that any creature would be better off humanely euthanized rather than suffer so cruelly. No, it is not a popular opinion and it hurts me to even say it or think it but it is the truth.
Of course in a perfect world, every pet would have a wonderful and loving home and I hope and pray this is something that, day by day, we can work toward. And no healthy animal would ever have to face euthanasia.

A year is definately not enuf – I too will write a letter.
And I agree with other posters – wtf is up with the neighbors????? Had I seen something as horriffic as this – I would have been in my house calling whoever – whatever – to get that poor dog outta there.
A life is a life – regardless but sadly, in this case, I would have rather seen that poor dog get a shot then to end his life the way he did.
Don’t jump on me – euthanasia is NOT the way to go – but in the rare instance it is…yes, I am for it.
This poor dog suffered long and painful and so should his so called ‘owner’
The “W”itch should spend 5 years in jail if not more.
1 year – a an f-ing joke.

I will be writing a letter to the D.A. This innocent dog could not speak for itself and died a horrible death. I hope she is convicted and gets that year in jail. This should be a wake up call to police when they are called and neighbors who know that there is a dog outside in the elements in a cage with no shelter. There is no excuse for this horrible abuse nor is there any excuse for indifference!

I am attaching an address and telephone number for the Troy DA. Please write and call urging him to punish this horrid sad excuse for a human being to the fullest extent of the law.
Please be courteous when you call, we want him on our side. I know how our emotions can get to us, I personally would LOVE to have some one on one time with this evil person, but we need to keep our cool heads.

When I receive the addresses of who to write to, I can post it here. I can even give you a sample letter to help you write it. I can’t stand to think of this poor thing suffering like this. There’s no reason for it and it’s just so sad.
