More and more states and increasing the penalties for anyone involved in dogfighting, including the spectators. No longer can people claim “they were just watching” and expect to walk away scott-free. No longer can people videotape the graphic violence and get away with it.
Last week Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick signed a bill to help police crack down on dogfighting by increasing the penalties for aiding or attending an animal fight.
The bill increases penalties from a $250 and a year in prison to $1,000 and two and a half years behind bars.

I love animals….I’m so glad that they are making higher penalties when it comes to dog fights even for the spectators..It should be higher for any kind of animal abuse…it’s about time i feel…..Diane
