Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Drunk Shoots Girlfriend’s Dog with Bow and Arrow

Kenneth HolderAfter a bout of drinking, 48 yr-old Kenneth Holden decided to give his girlfriend’s dog, a German Shepherd/Lab mix, a bath. Forcibly holding the dog down and roughly ‘manhandling’ it, the dog bit him on the arm

Angry and pissed off, Holden drank some more, waiting an hour, then got the bright idea to discipline the poor dog by shooting it with a razor-tipped hunting arrow.

Police, initially called to address a dog bite, found much more when they arrived.

“He did admit to waiting approximately an hour and reportedly drinking, and then went outside with a bow and hunting arrow, and shot the dog with the bow and arrow,” Cedar Park, TX, police Capt. Jeff Hayes. said.

The dog was shot in the hind leg. Taken to a vet, it was euthanized due to the severity of the injury.

“This is the first time that I’ve seen a case like this, where someone used a hunting bow and arrow to kill a domesticated animal,” Hayes said.

Holden was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals which is a state felony. He faces up to a $10,000 fine and 2 year prison sentence. And of course he claims innocence.

How this drunken POS can possibly say he’s innocent after admitting to shooting this poor dog is beyond me! Hopefully his girlfriend realizes what a waste of human life he is and is thankful is wasn’t her he got pissed off at!
