Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Family Seeks Help Finding Dog with Stolen Car

UteSomeone stole their car, all their vacation belongings and most important to them, their 7 yr old yellow lab, Ute, who was in the back seat of the car.

Wheat Ridge, Colorado – At 2 p.m. June 30, James Seeton and his family were at the Shell gas station at the intersection of I-70 and Kipling Street when their car was stolen. Not only was it filled with all the items they planned on taking on vacation with them, but their 7-year-old yellow lab, Ute, was in the backseat.

“I filled up my car with gas and wondered what was taking the boys so long. After I stepped inside to see there was a new cashier holding up the line, I turned around and the car was gone,” says Seeton. “I don’t care about the car or the belongings in it … I just want my dog back. My boys are beside themselves.”

Seeton owns a tope, silverish-brown 2000 Lexus LX470. The license plate reads 674-EMJ and was last seen on 32nd and Sheridan. However, due to a new law in Wheat Ridge, cops cannot chase criminals — so this family is seeking all the help they can get.

If you have any information, call K. Amling with the Wheat Ridge Police Department at 303-237-2220 or James Seeton at 970-674-5146. (YourHub.com)
