Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

    Hero Dog Saves Family From Fire – VIDEO

    One Old Saybrook, CT family has much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.  They may have lost their home and all their belongings but they have their lives, thanks to an alert 7 yr-old black lab named, Homer.

    Fire broke out in the house on Willard Ave around 3 am on Saturday morning.  Wayne Provost, his brother and his brother’s girlfriend were all asleep but Homer woke everyone up in time to get out of the quick moving fire.

    “The dog was on the bed barking,” Prevost said. “The next thing I heard was snapping and crackling.”
