Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Jacksonville!! Yeah, ya gonna see a lot of dog fighting there~

It boggles my mind how people can do this to animals!

I know it’s greed, but, don’t they know it’s got to catch up to them eventually?

    How stupid can you be?

Better not answer that question, cause, I can go further!

GOOD JOB ON GETTING THESE POOR BABIES OUT OF THERE!

  • It’s all very well to get the dogs out, but what will happen to them next? Seems that the people tasked to rescue these dogs then bust a gut to get them euthanased asap.
After the hugely successful rehabilitation of Michael Vicks dogs, these people no longer have any justification to call for the death penalty for these abused animals.
It’s not just greed that motivates people to do this to their dogs Marcy. It is a serious psychopathy.

I live in Jacksonville, and yes I think we will see a lot more of this here, unfortunately. We still have that “Good Ole Boy” system down here and with it comes a lot of corruption and ignorance. And then to put 90 of them down less than 24 hours after the bust, it is just sickening. They didn’t even try to have the dogs evaluated as to whether or not they could be rehabilitated. When the story first broke here and I heard they had already put them down, all I could do was cry. I just don’t understand any of these mentalities and hope I never do. All any of us can do is try to educate where we can and do our part in reporting any act of cruelty we see. I will not be silent as I feel I owe it to the animals that can not speak for themselves.

the sourrounding neighbors always seem to not have any idea to what goes on in thier area when it comes to things like this, when it is almost impossible NOT TO KNOW whats happening to these animals in cruel circumstances like these. I dont know wether it is fear of retaliation or what not, but we have to make a stand for these animals. I dont think it is greed, I think its stupidity and no common sense. U*nfortunatley, some have been brought up on this illegal “sport”.

The Michael Vick dogs were successful, yes, but only becuase that case went so public so fast. Usually, when cases like this come up, the dogs are kept as evidence and then put down. Its like they are being saved from death for death. I thihnk the people who put tohse hundred dogs down are just as bad as the ones fighting them.
