UPDATE 5/22/09 – Pair Who Tossed Dog From Moving Car Want Dog Back – VIDEO
These two wastes of human life, Jimmy Correa, 24, and Jenny Torres, 31, of New Bedford, MA, have each been charged with two felony counts of cruelty to animals for abandoning and throwing an animal from a moving vehicle after tossing a Chihuahua in a West End neighborhood.
Witnesses were amazed when as they were driving along, Correa opened his window and tossed Princess, a 2-year-old Chihuahua from the vehicle and drove off. An hour later the couple drove back by and remarked that the “stupid dog” was still where they threw it.
This gave witnesses a chance to take down their license plate number and call the police. Correa and Torres were tracked down. Correa defended himself by saying the dog did not belong to him but to his girlfriend who told him to toss it out. Needless to say, both these lower lifeforms were picked up and got to try on a cage for size. They will be arraigned in New Bedford District Court today.
As for little Princess, she was pretty traumatized from the incident but will be fine. She was taken to Forever Paws Animal Shelter in Fall River where she will be able to find a loving new home!
This is one of those few cases where all’s well that ends well. Pooch safe and sound, trash arrested and charged.
Police spokesman Lt. Jeffrey Silva said, “The true story is not the cruelty and callousness of the culprits but the compassion and cohesion of a neighborhood that stepped up to save this dog and help us crack this case. This is community policing at its finest and highlights how cases get solved.”

I hope their repulsive faces are splashed all over, and they will receive ever lasting heartache over their crime. Yes, I am all for revenge on these kind of scum bags. They are only afraid of punishment -don’t care about animals. Our laws don’t punish enough – we all know that. However, I hope these two suffer.

Just looking at them gives me the creeps. They are the type of people that don’t deserve to live. I am so glad they are being tried. I hope the judge is an animal lover and gives them all they deserve.
What lousy sob’s. I am so happy that Princess will be all right, and will find a home that will love her the way she should be loved and treated. Thank God the neigborhood people pulled together to get the info to the police, and these two sob’s will be tried. With positive thinking, they will have a judge who is an animal lover, or even a decent human being that will see that this type of behavior, throwing a little baby from a vehicle is not acceptable, and gives them both the maximum punishment allowable.
They both have that sarcastic look on their faces. Maybe jail will wipe that look off their faces, but I have a feeling they have been there already.
Look how cute that face is! How could they???? Poor little Princess had no idea why they did that, but I’m sure she is better off without trash like that owning her. I hope she gets the BEST furever home!
A sad situation that unfortunately is not isolated. I rescued a fox terrier pup, left for dead at the side of the road, that had been thrown from a moving vehicle. Her little paws and chest were like hamburger meat from hitting the gravel at a high rate of speed. It took her six weeks before she could begin to walk again and then only on carpeted flooring. The culprits were never caught. That was 5 yrs ago. Giselle is a wonderful addition to our family. She is 1 of 7 rescues that we have, all wonderful dogs….all thrown away. A dog’s life is worth nothing to so many.
Lisa, a personal thank you from me for helping that little girl, and the balance of rescues you have. You are so right about a dog’s life not being worth anything to many people, but to me, they are my life; and like many others here I am sure, life would be boring as hell without our furbabies in our lives. The special relationship that us animal lovers have with our babies is something that is inexplainable to a person without any type of animal in their life. Those people don’t know the meaning of life as we do. Again, thank you for taking Giselle into your family, and being her guardian angel.

Okay…..it’s also a fact, that his coach said that he had to prove he learned a lesson from this before he can play fotball again. So, I heard he was going to be an advocate for dogs. Ok, heard that yes, he is out and that he and Wayne Pacelle had a meeting about Vick becoming a HSUS spokesperson. Was working on writing something on it but was just too disgusted to finish it!

The first thing I heard on the news this morning was that he was being released. I also heard that he is going to be wearing “jewelry” from prison, if you know what I mean. I feel like writing Pacelle a long letter letting him know of my disgust for him to even speak to Vick, and for him to consider him as a spokesperson is so pathetic. Maybe I will just do that. Anyone want to join and send letters? I will search for his email address.
I want to join in the writing of letters to Wayne P. and anyone else who would EVEN think Vick is a good spokesperson against animal abuse. I am sorry, but I feel he is NOT sorry one bit, He is sorrry he got caught and his little dream, cruelty to animals life was disrupted. He needs to be treated like the dirtbag he was, and no doubt, still is underneath. Disgusting to treat him like a celebrity in the animal advocacy world.
Netanya, if you read the link I posted above, Pacelle states that he still does not know what is in Vicks heart. It is a good article, but I am still personally offended that he wants to even think of using Vick as a spokesperson for HSUS.

Thanx for link. I will be writing a letter tonight also. The large AR groups are gonna, or need to (in my opinion) have to step up and quit coddling celebs and patting them on the back when they are caught – they should know they are lying through their teeth. I didn’t notice any huge outcry against Big O (Oprah) and her idiotic promotion of KENTUCKY FRIED CRUELTY coupons either. She evidently was unconscious during her show on Factory Farming Cruelty, with Wayne Pacelle there – or just doesn’t care about the atrocious conditions in which billions of chickens suffer for KFC – They won’t even try to demand or ask their suppliers to change their cruel methods of production/slaughter.
Yipes – when I see those two I think, maybe this was a good(?)thing that happened to Princess, so she was out in the public eye and people could react quickly and save her. I shudder to think what they might have done to her in private. Thank goodness she was not severely injured.
Michael Vick is the epitome of an animal abuser .I find looking at him disgusting .The only thing he feels sorry for is getting caught , everything he says is so scripted .My friends who knew nothing about dog fighting say , ” what kind of human could watch and do this ” . My answer is no human . He is a piece or useless shit . I am sure that mom and the kids want to see this convicted felon play football right? I hope he dies a gruesome death , I will be all smiles

My dooris always open to htese little guys I love them and one great little doggie… At least Princess is safe and she will have a better life then with those scum bags…send these things back where they come from ..

Why was the dog still there five minutes after she was thrown out of the car, much less AN HOUR later?
cause no one cared to pick it up to rescue it, again we see how others are guilty of neglect, if that were a 2 year old child, would they just drive by or call for help?
