Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

‘Miracle Dog’ Shot, Makes Way Home To Owner – VIDEO

Sometimes when you catch a story, you’re not quite sure whether to class it as good news or bad and this is one of those. A dog disappears, the dog returns a week later with a gunshot wound that could have killed her and in the end, at least for David Lechen and his 5-year-old Shepherd, Sage, it’s going to be a happy ending and maybe even a bit of a small miracle.  But what more appropriate at this time of year?

Miracles happen every day, all around us. Most of the time we cannot see the miracles, but this one, is a true miracle, and the love our fur babies have for us.

    Bless Sage and her family.

This is indeed a Miracle. Sage guardian Angel was with her and eventhough she suffered she is now safe and with all those who Loves her.
God Bless Sage and all her loved ones!
Have a Merry Happy Christmas all…

Who could shoot this beautiful dog?

  • excalibur2009

Well thank God, I guess people are going to have to buy bullit proof vest for their dogs. There are to many ass h***s running around with loaded guns. I’m with him, it probly wasn’t an accident or the jerk that did it wouldn’t have left her injured.

I am happy to hear that Sage found her way home and is going to be okay. As for the idiot that shot her, I can’t post my comments on here. Someone knew they shot her and left her for dead. If they would have taken the time to check it out, they would have seen the tags and done something about it. That is why there are so many so called accidents out there hunting. You just shoot at anything that moves and if it is not what you intended to shoot you just walk away be it animal or human. These people don’t even deserve to have a hunting license. I just thank God that Sage is lucky and that God was with her.

  • Another reason why hunting needs to be outlawed once and for all. Ther is no longer a NEED for hunting in order to survive. Now it’s just “sport”. Who in their right mind could have shot this precious girl and then just left her to suffer? I get so incredibly angry over these things. I’m so glad this girl made it home. Truly a Christmas miracle.

Bonnie, unfortunately there are people that eat meat who do use hunting to feed their families. I am not a hunter and wouldn’t hunt. But there are a lot of responsible hunters out there, that aren’t like the people that this blog reveals, for the POS’s that they are.Times are hard and people have to eat.I’m a vegetarian myself and I wish the rest of the world would become one to. One can Hope.

What happen to Sage doesn’t necessarily mean it was a hunter. There are a great many mean sadistic A**H***S that are running around with loaded guns.I don’t know if you heard about what happen to the baby Clidesdale at Anhauser Bush. The Mother and her baby was out in the pasture and some piece of filth drove by and shot that little colt to death (The SOB)This kind of trash is out ther. Like I’ve said many times before, “They are euthenizing the wrong animals.”

i’m so glad that Sage is going 2 b fine. bless u, sweet girl. i sure wish they find the scum who did this…..miracles DO happen.

I can’t even comment on this, especially after what Excalibur said about the Clydsdale foal….tore me to shreds, let alone poor Sage, which this story is all about. So happy she made it home to papa and will be save.
