Now Michael Vick’s Getting His Own Reality Show!

And who says crime doesn’t pay?  Looks like it’s paying off bigtime for convicted felon, dog killer, embezzler Michael Vick!  Now only is he back in the big bucks with his NFL contract with the Philly Eagles, he getting free goodies from Nike (and maybe more, who knows?), now BET is giving with killer his own television series.  Oh, and let’s not forget that the HSUS is backing him the whole way. Wow, what a great message our youth of today are being sent!

Sure, you can be a dogfighter, a felon, a criminal, a killer, but if you can throw a football, you can come back and have it all pretty quick.  No problem!

The quarterback, who took his first regular-season pro snap just two weeks ago after serving 18 months in prison, is partnering with BET for a new eight-part docu-series scheduled to air early next year. The program, tentatively titled “The Michael Vick Project,” spotlights his controversial comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles while also examining his tumultuous past — including his troubled childhood and his 2007 arrest for running a dogfighting ring. (LA Times)

Won’t be long before there are endorsement deals, companies lining up to sign this waste of life! All comes down to the bottom line, the green, the bucks. That’s all they all seem to care about.

Everyone can talk about second chances all they want but it all comes down to the almighty buck!  Vick and his handlers are using everyone and visa versa, from Michael Vick and the Eagles to the corporate sponsors, from the NFL to  companies selling Vick products and yes, even to the HSUS, they’re all raking it in on the backs of dead, tortured dogs.  And now it looks like BET wants their cut of the action, not that they’re the first and they won’t be the last.

Vick said in an interview, “I just want people to really get to know me as an individual. What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.”

Well, we know him, we know all we want to know about him, about his sadistic tendencies, about his ego, about him climbing over the dead to get back to the top. He doesn’t care if he’s covered in blood as long as he can fill his back account again, stock up his bling collection, fancy cars and houses and hear the adulation of the crowd. Remorse? Only because he got caught! Yes, we know all we want or need to know about Michael Vick. He can whine about his “troubled childhood” all he wants, well, sorry, I had one too but you don’t see me out there killing dogs!

BET’s new entertainment chief, Loretha Jones, says the Vick project fits squarely into the network’s new branding strategy of family values, cultural uplift and community pride. When she learned several months ago that Vick was being released, Jones was immediately interested in developing a series around him.

“I did not reach out for this show in order to court controversy,” said Jones. “That’s not where we’re taking the network. . . . It’s important for us to capture this important moment to see what someone does when they have the opportunity to rebuild themselves. It might serve as a road map for young men facing the same challenge.”

What it’s going to serve as a roadmap for is our youth to see that they can get away with murder and still come out on top! Why can’t anyone see this?? Are people so blind when dollar signs are in front of them that reality is totally obscured? Don’t bother answering, I already know.

Another sad day and Michael Vick climbs back to the top of building his blood covered empire….

I emailed BET and asked them how hiring a man how murdered and tortured innocent dogs fits into their new branding strategy. I also stated that I would be blocking BET from all TVs in my home as their network does not fit MY family values.

  • TERRY

I would never watch bet if it was the only channel in the world .They would have a majority of the young dog fighters watching though

  • excalibur2009

Loretha Jones, says the Vick project fits squarely into the network’s new branding strategy of family values, cultural uplift and community pride.
Is this woman serious? If so, then she needs a serioys Reality Check. Since Vic doean’t own any -family values, cultural uplift and community pride.
Please tell me that this is a joke.

  • Tuff's Pal

Relax and give Karma a chance. Sometimes it doesn’t happen right away.

    A wise man once said:

“God knows the truth…and He waits.”

  • Karen

i wish he would just fall off the planet and die…exactly he is sorry he got caught….well maybe not now since everyone seems to be bowing down to him like he is a freaking God…and USHS can kiss my a** they were the first to want to put the dogs down..its aspca that stepped in and saved them all

  • Max

This comes after one of Vick’s representatives said in April that he had absolutely no interest in doing such a show, he just wanted to focus on straightening out his life (although his attorneys had previously told a bankruptcy court judge he expected to earn $600,000 for a reality-type series.)
If anyone wants to let BET know what they think of this effort to promote “family values, cultural uplift and community pride,” here’s a link:

    • Admin - Deanna

Yes very true… but I doubt any of us believed for a minute if he were offered something that would fill his pockets that he would actually turn it down… yeah, right! Thanks for the link!
      D.

  • Tuff's Pal

D…I’ll go one better and say that if he could make a fast buck by breeding and fighting Pits again…without fear of being caught…he’d do it.

There’s that thing about Leopards and spots…

  • Tracey

Once a POS, always a POS. Vick is a liar and an animal killer. BET obviosuly has no respect for animals. Vick has no remorse for what he did. The interview on 60 minutes was a big fat acting job and anyone who believes he is sorry is an idiot. I hope VIck gets hurt on the field.

  • KatrinaB

That lackie isn’t going to be on my TV…..

  • Tammy Paul

I am disgusted with Michael Vick. I had started a petition on Care2 website. Ban Michael Vick from the NFL. Please check it out and sign. I’m sure it won’t change anything but at least our opinions and comments are out there. If anyone can tell me what more we can do to save these precious pets, please let me know. I lie awake at night just thinking about all the unwanted animals starving and homeless on the streets wishing I could do more.

I am also having my annual fundraiser for the Plano Animal Shelter. From now until Nov. 23rd I raise monies, collect supplies and special pet beds for the animals of Plano. I ask anyone willing to drop off a donation (Food, bleach, blankets etc..) or mail a donation to Primrose School of Chase Oaks. Attn: Tammy. This is a huge event and my school is trying to save as many animals as we can. All checks may be payable to the Plano Animal Shelter and sent to 6525 Chase Oaks Blvd. Plano, TX 75023

  • Susie

Lousy greedy bastard. I too hope he gets hurt, and needs the assistance of a therapy/guide dog, and because of his past history, no one would give him one. I know Karma plays a factor here, but I think we are all impatient waiting for Karma to kiss his sorry a**.

  • Lisa K

    One word: DISGUSTED!!!
Tammy: I signed your Petition. Thank you. I am a Care2 member as well.
Max: Thank you for the link to BET will give them my 2 cents next.

  • Pete Sischo

How about the fact that he is a great athlete? How about the fact he did his time and paid his debt to the world. You dont think someone should be able to make a living?

Man, you people are f-ed in the head. He did his time and said he was sorry and worked for Dog groups. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT!!!! Let the man, work and feed his family

    • TERRY

Wrong web site buddy , DIE VICK DIE is our cheer . If he was not as bright as a football , he would have had enough money to feed the nation .We have a right no to forgive him because he is scum

    • Susie

Who gives a rat’s ass that he is alledgedly a good athlete? And furthermore, he DID NOT pay his debt to the world. He was not convicted on animal cruelty charges, which could have landed him 5 years for each dog in prison.

Everyone is entitled to make a living, but make the living legally, without under the table monies. In addition, he is capable (maybe) of doing something different in his life, other than football.

We are f’d in the head? Oh I don’t believe so; we are dedicated and passionate about animals, and we will not tolerate anybody, no matter thei name, or celebrity status, be silent when it comes to animal abuse or neglect. I think you are the one that is f’d in the head.

What more do we want? We want JUSTICE for all the animals he MURDERED.

    • excalibur2009

Sorry Buddy, His time would have been the 5 years per dog and his actually being sorry for what HE did. And the only ones that are f-ed in the head are pieces of human garbage that enjoy and have No Conscience about the pain and suffering that they inflict or watch being inflicted on an innocent animal. If these people are so hot and heavey for bloodlust, then they should take themselves into that pit and go at it. Only one difference – “It Would Be Their Choice!” have a nice day.
Mote: This has nothing to do with race, I hold the same contempt for all animal abusers alike.

    • Tammy Paul

Pete, I clearly understand that you and most people feel he paid his debt and has a right to make a living but not a living where he is put on a pedestal for children to admire as a athlete and hero. If this were a child he did this to, would you feel the same. What’s the difference, kid, animal both are defenseless, both have a heart and feel pain both were put here by God. Let him make a living doing something out of the public eye and trust me he has more money then anyone on this site, I’m sure he is eating just fine and living in a big old mansion while most the dogs who survived will forever be living in a cage at Dog Town, yes being loved but not free. Vick should have to give up his freedom in the NFL as well.

    • Great athlete my ass! Sports is SO over rated and athletes get paid WAY too much to throw a ball around and run….ooooooo….oh so hard! I’m a woman and I play football and I am damn good at it so should I get paid millions of dollars to throw around a cow hide?????????

FEED HIS FAMILY!!!! HA…..get a job at McDonalds then……You are the one who is f-d in the head if you think he is sorry for what he did. You are also f-d in the head if you think for one second that his sentence fit the crime. Murder is murder whether it is of a human or animal. LIFE IS LIFE AND EVERY BREATHING CREATURE HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE PEACEFULLY ON THIS EARTH!!!!!!

  • Cares for Pets

I agree with Tuff’s Pals. A day will come when Vick will do it all again because he can. And then we will all see the real Michael Vick. Until then I will not watch the BET as we all know his story already.

  • MM

I disagree with the “once a pos always a pos” statement. People do deserve second chances and they CAN change. I don’t know if that applies in this case though. I say withhold jugement until we see how things progress.

    • Admin - Deanna

Take a look at some of the “talks” he has given, they’re all videotaped. You tell me if he truly expresses any kind of remorse. He never says he’s sorry for the cruelty and pain he inflicted on the innocent dogs he tortured. He always tries to lay the blame on someone else. He never take responsibilty for what he’s done. If this doesn’t show enough, then you’re missing something. His only concern and consideration is to regain what he lost by his own hand and he will do what it take to a degree. He hasn’t changed and he deserves no second change, the same as he gave those innocent victims.

I have followed this from the beginning and I can tell you the he is a sadist and sociopath. I truly believe that. His only concern is himself and he will sink to whatever depths it take to fill his pockets again as long as his handlers tell him so.

      D.

    • excalibur2009

MM I respect your position on the 2nr chance, however I would like to interject this on the subject.
      A person deserves a 2nd chance if
#1- They have actually paid for their crime (That should have been 5 years per dog, in this case)
#2- They are truely remorseful about what they did ( anyone with eyes can see and ears that can hear, can understand that that isn’t the case here)
#3- Actually seeks and gos for medical help, to try to get cured ( Now on this one I have to say I don’t know, but my gut says no)
From my point of view Vic doeesn’t pass.

    • Susie

MM, I totally agree with Deanna and Excalibur. I myself am so tired of all the animal abusers and murderers getting a “second chance”.

I will not withold judgement because of the horrendous acts of cruelty and violence that man has done to these sweet babies.

    • TERRY

Have you ever seen a picture of him with a dog , or going to a local shelter recently ?

  • Lucky

i agree with all of you but we must also blame the public for paying money to go to his games & buying things he promotes.
also, Dr. Phil stated on one of his shows that he does not believe Vick will change & he is not sorry.

  • Tammy Paul

I know everyone says: He’ll do it again, wait and see but I don’t want to wait and see because I don’t want to see more poor animals be so severely abused again. That’s the problem with our society, we give too many second chances. Most cases, there shouldn’t be a second chance aloud, not when there is abuse involved. What our society is doing, by giving Vick fame and recognition is deplorable, wrong and just sick. Doesn’t say much about the human race. I know in me heart, God is looking down on this planet he had given us and is crying right now because we are abusive, shallow individuals who have taken life for granted. Judgment day will come and I know that I myself and people like me,who do what is possible to make a difference and live our lives with passion, gratitude and respect for all life, will be okay in the afterlife! Glad I won’t be seeing Michael Vick in heaven. I know we are supposed to forgive and in someway I do forgive him and his ignorance but I will never respect or care about Michael Vick for as long as I live.

    • excalibur2009

Tammy, I think that most of us feel the same way as you, except on the forgiving part. I personally don’t have any forgiveness in my heart for the likes of him( And race has nothing to do with it. Read my comments on that POS HILL)But as for the rest of it, you are 100% right. Have a good day and remember ” Its always darkest before the dawn and God is watching”

      • Tammy Paul

Thank you for your support. It is hard to forgive especially after I watched his dogs on Dog Town. I know if he could get away with it, he would do it again, it’s like gambling or alcohol, it’s an addiction to him. After reading the torture he participated in, that’s what really gets under my skin. How can a network or NFL forgive those horrific acts. It’s not like he just put up the finance for the fighting, He cut their heads off, broke their backs , he participated. Now that is what I don’t and will never forgive!!!!!

        • excalibur2009

How can they do it? The bottom line, that almighty Buck.Dorsn’t that old addage hold true: That money is the root of all evil.
And by these people supporting people like this one, they are showing the world what they really look like on the inside. Remember God is watching : )Haave a good good day : )
So Let The Boycott Continue. We should have an NFL boycott cookout that would remind people of it all. I would try and do it, but I don’t have the know how or transpertation, but if anyone out there likes the idea, just be my guest, and run with it : )

    • I agree with you Tammy. We ALL know he’ll do it again….only this time he will be more careful so he WON’T get caught. If he is caught, how many poor innocent animals will get killed and tortured BEFORE he is caught? You know he will take extra special messures to be more careful this time so he will be less likely to get caught red handed. THAT is what makes me the maddest!

  • Well I’m sure you all know how I feel about this. As I told D last evening, I was behind on all of my emails thanks to a heavy work load and when I saw the information about this, I literally wanted to vomit. I had gotten the info from a link from one of our local country music radio stations and even THEY think it’s a crock.

Now if Vick had come along and said that he was going to donate the money to the organizations who helped the dogs left brutalized by his sociopathic actions, maybe people would think he really wants to try to change. But every penny he can squeeze out of all of this is going right into his pocket for his fancy cars, houses, bling and the like.

I will say to my dying breath, if the HSUS had told Vick a flat out NO WAY when he asked about coming on board with them, it might have taken a lot longer for him to get to this place. But they gave him the credibility with what I call the “fluff and stuff animal lovers” who like to believe they really care about animals, but never do a thing to roll up their sleeves and actually HELP them, and stick their heads in the sand when it comes to the awful truths of animal cruelty. That’s the mainstream, and that’s who he was after. He got it in buckets. I haven’t noticed any huge list of speaking engagements for him with the HSUS, which I’m sure is blamed on his busy football schedule.

I am always willing to give people a second chance….when they truly in their heart of hearts want to change. But Vick is a sick man down to his very soul. He has never wanted to change. He just wanted to change the fact that he got caught. What has he done for animals since all of this happened? Not one thing. Has he EVER come out and said he is sorry for the brutal torture and murder of those dogs? NO. He has danced around the subject and used all the correct doublespeak to make it sound good – again to the fluff and stuff crowd. Not to those of us who have really watched and listened. Every one of us has paid attention to every detail. We screamed the loudest when the HSUS brought him on board, saying that this is exactly what would happen.

BET is just after the bucks, exactly as you say D. They want to jump on his gravy train while it’s rolling fast. I will not watch the show and I will let BET know exactly how I feel about it. I actually have enjoyed other shows they’ve done, but that channel is now BLOCKED on my TV. I hope they are bombarded with complaints to the point they have to rethink this, and if the show goes forward, then I hope the ratings are so awful it has to be pulled.

I’m a member at Care2 as well and had signed the petition when it came out. I’ve signed every petition that was against Vick. I won’t ever stay quiet when it comes to this monster.

  • excalibur2009

Yeh, Bonnie : ) I’m also a member of Care2. And its like this, if anyone has a petition against Vic,the NFL,Pepsi, Coke, etc.,etc.,etc. ,consider them signed. After this, none of them deserve to stay in buisness. My boycott list just keeps on growing. Man “The Hall of Shame”

  • Barbara S

I am at a loss to understand why M. Vick does not have to pay thousands of $$$ to all the rescue groups esp. Dog Town who took the dogs and rehabiliated each and every one. Why is it left to those of us who rescue and give $$$ to rescues to pay for his cruelty!!! Why can’t his earnings be attached to cover the costs?

    • Susie

One word Barbara, politics – it is all political for the owners of the damn team he is on, the HSUS, anyone involved with this moron.

I know what you mean about those in rescue always coning to the aid of the babies suffering. I am always broke, but I know that the monies I send to rescues are being put to great use, whether it be for sponsoring a dog until he seeks rescue, helping some unfortunate fur baby with mounting medical bills due to being hit by a car, or whatever – I know where the money is going to. Our pockets might be empty, but our hearts are full of happiness for the fur babies – right?

  • maryelizabeth

my answer is plain and simple. abuse him (m vicks) and leave him to die. see how he likes it.

  • Celebrity Death Match, here I come!!!!! Put me in the ring with Michael Vick and watch me turn into a Pit Bull and tear him limb from limb until he dies a horrible bloody death just like he did to the real live dogs that got him sent to prison in the first place. If that killer can get a reality show, then The Pawz Cauze Show can get a deal too. I’ll get Rescue Ink to back me up just in case after I turn into a Pit Bull Michael Vick takes water and electricity and tries to electricute me like he did countless number of innocent loving dogs!

For those of you who are not familiar with Celebrity Death Match, it is clay figures who fight each other in a mock match on MTV. DJ Ice V.S. Michael Vick…..just wait…..it’ll happen!

    Pawz Up,
Ice from RadioGetsWild.com and The Pawz Cauze Show

    • Susie

I love it DJ Ice! Never saw Celebrity Death Match, but let us know when it will happen and we will all watch it!

    • excalibur2009

Hey, DJ Ice, maybe you could get one of tthe other chanels to run your The Pawz Cauze Show opposit Vics chanel, and take their viewing audiance : )

      • I’m working on it, excalibur….keep those pawz crossed because I WILL confront Vick FACE TO FACE LIVE on my TV series….if he’s brave enough that is.

Once I have him in my grip, no one will be able to save his sorry butt…not even his high priced attorney. I WILL expose how fake he is and I WILL be the voice of those poor dogs he murdered in the name of money. Then I’ll make him come face to face with the very dogs that were rescued from his grasp of terror and show him how wonderful every rescued pit is doing since leaving his estate. Then we’ll see what he has to say and how many questions he tries to avoid.

Give me 5 minutes with him and I’ll get justice for every Pit he murdered!!!!!!

        Pawz Up,
        Ice

        • Susie

WTG DJ Ice! I am anxious to hear more updates on this!

I don’t think he will be able to give his “innocent” answers to you dear!

        • excalibur2009

Hey DJ Ice ~ You go get em. But I really think those poor dogs have been tramatized enough. The last thing they need to see is that brutal SOB Vic.
          What do you think.
What ever happens, we all are doing our best and I stand up and salute each and everyone of you. God bless and keep : )

  • Monica

I just read on Care 2 Causes and Newsletters that Michael Vicks will be starring in an 8 part documentary series on BET, worth about $600,000.00! To change his image from his “case” and Football. I can’t enter the web site but it should be easy to find. The comments are priceless. Pretty much what you would expect to get on this site. OMG!

  • Jessie

This POS does NOT deserve forgiveness for the numerous murders the SOB got away with. I despise this inhuman scum! And, as far as your comment’s on this site Pete, you really need to go play on another one…..like the “Support Vick’s sorry ass” site. YOu make me sick Pete and I, for one, can not understand why the hell you insist on coming on here, with a “I could give a shit about the dogs Vick killed” attitude, or ANY dogs for that matter. You say we are the ones that are F’d up…..seriously, Pete. It appears you are the one that is seriously F’d up, to continually come on “For The Love of the Dog” site and BASH the the supporters of the canine animal kingdom. Please find somewhere else to play Pete. You just waste your time, as well as ours.

Deanna………..if there is a way to block this dumb mofo, so we don’t have to see his crazy statements anymore, I, for one, would surely appreciate it.

  • Joan

Why is it that losers like Vick get the goodies and the people that don’t harm animals and other people get nothing. I hope the show on BET channel goes bust and people who watch it realize what a wretched creature that Michael Vick truly is.

  • TERRY

Maybe we should start a channel called WET and show the ral life of a dog made to fight

  • Now the latest from our old friends at the HSUS. The Eagles announced that they are going to make their new TAWK (Treating Animals With Kindness) program one of their major philanthropic efforts and donated money to 3 organizations, one of which is…you guessed it….the HSUS. You can read all about it here:

    http://hsus.typepad.com/wayne/2009/10/philadelphia-eagles.html

While I’m always happy to see money given to worthy animal causes, we all know this never would have happened if the Eagles had not been feeling the pinch from their horrible decision to sign Vick to an NFL contract. They have been scampering around ever since the furious backlash from that decision began, trying to make things look good for themselves. The LAST organization that should get a DIME from them is the HSUS. Why not give that money to the small, shoestring budget rescues in the area? Why all big names? Because of publicity, that’s why.

Yet again Wayne Pacelle gives his best shot at defending bringing Vick on board with his usual yada yada yada about how wonderful that monster is. I almost threw up when I read about the latest speech he gave….only 100 kids there? Why??? Why wasn’t it videotaped and made public??? Why weren’t there 1000 kids there???

When will the HSUS realize that none of us will EVER agree that having Vick as a spokesperson was a good idea? The only reason Vick asked to do it was to gain some kind of credibility so he could get his career back, and he got exactly what he wanted. Why isn’t Vick donating every penny from this reality show to animal charities, like Dog Town or the others who took in and rehabilitated his traumatized dogs? Oh no, he’s going to keep every red cent he makes.

Nothing will ever change my mind about Vick. Nothing. He’s a monster in football star’s clothing. He has an evil soul, and no amount of regurgitated garbage from the HSUS or money being thrown around by the Eagles will ever change that. Clearly the Eagles are getting desperate. I loved it when the football game came on and my husband switched channels. Even he refuses to watch a game where that monster is playing.

    • excalibur2009

Way to go Bonnies husband, You got my respect : )

    • Nancy

I should know better than to read the self-serving comments of Wayne Pacelle, trying to justify his support of Michael Vick by attempting to link it to Pennsylvania’s puppy mill problem.
What a headline-grabbing, money-grubbing organization the HSUS has become
