Shocking, horrific and I want to say unbelievable but sadly, it’s not… Yes, a “dog owner” actually posted an ad on Craigslist that said, “Dog needs gone or shot.” The ad said the owner had no use for the dog and that it would be shot if it wasn’t gone by the end of the day. Lucky for this “deathrow” dog, a vet student, Liz Pendleton, saw the ad and was determined that that was not going to happen.
Liz drove from University City, Mo., to Morrisonville, Ill. on Saturday to rescue the dog, a Shepherd mix that she named Buck. A beautiful dog, you could see that Buck has had a sad life although he’s only about 4 years old. He’s a big, strong boy but not only has he been starved of nutrition, he’s been starved of love and affection.
Although his life has turned around and he’s no longer in danger of being shot to death, sadly, Liz cannot keep him.
So now the search is on to find a loving forever home for Buck… can it be yours… someone you know? If you’re interested, email Liz – email@example.com. If you’d like to help Liz get him vetted and healthy, you can help with a donation. This sweet boy has been through enough already, let’s see if we can help find him a home… give him a SHARE!
