Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Pennsylvanians, You Help is Desperately Needed!! HB2525 – Puppy Mill Bill

Puppy mill breeders, trophy hunters, and other extremists are fighting legislation to crack down on puppy mills in Pennsylvania (H.B. 2525) and the bill is stuck in a House Committee. Two hearings held on the issue have been packed with opponents, and legislators are being flooded with calls and emails. We simply cannot allow people who exploit dogs for profit to out-hustle the people who want to protect dogs from cruelty and abuse. Please take action right away! Help Crack Down on Puppy Mills!!

H.B. 2525 will overhaul Pennsylvania’s Dog Law and impose stronger animal welfare standards for puppy mills. At these large commercial dog factories, dogs are kept in filthy cages stacked on top of each other — they are treated not like pets, but like a cash crop.

As a resident of the state of Pennsylvania, your state representative will sit on the committee that will consider H.B. 2525 again on Tuesday, June 24. Even if you have contacted your legislator before, please call again to express your continued strong support.

TAKE ACTION
Please make a brief, polite phone call to urge your Representative to support H.B. 2525. Find your Respesentative HERE.

When you call, you will likely speak to a staff member who will pass your message along to your representative. Remember to be polite and professional, and leave your name and address so it
is clear that you are a constituent. You can say:

“Hello, my name is [your name] and I am calling from [your city] to ask Representative [name] to support H.B. 2525 to overhaul the Dog Law and give stronger protections for dogs in breeding facilities. It’s time to crack down on puppy mills in Pennsylvania. Thank you.”

After making your call, please send a follow-up email to your Representative in support of H.B. 2525: HERE.

And don’t forget to tell your friends and family in Pennsylvania how they can take action, too: HERE!

Please, please, please! Get the word out! Send this to everyone you know and ask them to do the same. Pennsylvanians, you must stand up for what you know is right!
