Update 9/11/09 – Update on Pitbull Used as a Weapon
In Seatac, WA, four “kids,” aged 11, 12, 13, 15, were kicking and beating on a dog the 15-year-old girl was walking, trying to get it to fight. When a woman stopped to try to find out what was going on and intervene, the 15-year-old girl and the dog attacked her.
“The 15-year-old girl, who was walking the dog, attacked this woman and then the dog joined in. The woman was bitten fairly severely,” said King County Sgt. John Urquhart.
These “kids” then proceeded into a local park where another woman was following them and calling the police after seeing what happened. They then got the dog to attack her.
A third woman was also attacked.
“She opened my car door, yanked me by the hair and drug me across the passenger seat, got the phone out of my hands, and started hitting me over the head with the phone,” the woman said.
“They were using the dog as a weapon, is what it boils down to,” said Urquhart.
The owners of the pitbull are facing felony charges. The dog was removed by animal control and will be killed because of what these “kids” did.
So we have a dog that was used as a weapon, an innocent victim. Three women who were only trying to help, attacked by this dog on orders of these “kids.” Parents facing felony charges. Why? All because four “kids” wanted to have some fun?! There are not children, they little monsters, psychopaths in the making!
People wonder why pitbulls get a bad rap… it’s incidents like this! This dog was incited and abused and encouraged to bite and attack. The blame for what this dog did falls squarely on the shoulders of humans, not the dog!
As for the “kids,” you have to wonder what is going to happen to them. The 15-year-old at least, is old enough to know right from wrong, to take responsibilty for her actions. Someone better get some help, some serious help, for these little monsters and now! Who knows what their next “weapon” might be… a knife… a gun…

This story just sickened me. Pittis are so damn adorable and have a great disposition, and yes, it is morons like these “kids” and their parents that give them the bad rap. How dare they use a dog as a weapon. It is just as if they took a gun and shot these women who wanted to do their civil duties as an American citizen and help. OMG, these “kids” are not kids at that age. They should know right from wrong, and apparently they chose the path of least resistance, not having to learn and make good honest hardworking adults out of themselves. Damm their parents, and I hope to hell they get the book thrown at them, because they are just as guilty as those damn kids of theirs.
I am sorry that this little one had to be put down, but in all reality, when it is trained like that to attack, I always hope and pray that they can be rehabilitated, but in most cases such as the meanness instilled in this baby, all hope of rehabilitation has been lost due to this little one’s upbringing. I am sorry baby. RIP, God will embrace you in his arms, and sweetie, it is not your fault, not at all.
Sorry D, but an 11 yr old, knows better too. Knows right from wrong. Their parents must be monsters and abusers themselves to raise such terribly disturbed children. I hope the girl gets help. She is a very sick individual. As for the poor Pitty, I pray more than anything, he is rehabilitated and adopted out. It certainly is NOT his fault, by any means. So undeserving to this poor dog. How can he know any better when these creatures from another planet abused him so bad….just to make him mean! Look at his face….he’s so confused and almost has an “I’m so sorry” expression. Poor baby. The crulity of humans makes me sick!
I totally agree with Jessie. Those kids need to be punished and the dog deserves a second chance. Best Friends would be able to help this poor dog.
Jessie and Nancy, I believe you missed something. The article says the dog will be euthanized. This dog, unlike some of the Vick dogs that were rehabilitated, was taught to be agressive, whereas the Vick dogs that were rehabilitated, were the ones who were the bait dogs.
This little one does deserve a second chance, as every dog does, but, personally, I believe this little one has an agression factor that might not be so easy to turn around.
They’ll euthanize the dog and let the kids go. To bad it can’t be reversed. I’m jumping the next starship to Pluto.

You know this might sound harsh but I am sic to death of these kids that do the nost offal things and then get a slap( if that) on the sisk because of their age. People say, “Oh they are just kids and didn’t know any beter.” Well I beg to differ. They are little monsters that keep pushing the envelope because they have learned that there is nothing going to be done to them. Well I say that of they cause serious bodily harm as is the case here, I think their ages should not be a factor in it. That what they did should only be what is considered.
Why should the animal be the one to pay for the intentional evil mindless vicious peoples actions. Thats just plain wrong.
The ones to be euthanized should be the 4 MONSTERS and NOT the poor dog! Anyone between the ages of 11 – 15 know what is right and what is wrong unless … of course … they are the devil in disguise and/or “Mental Paraplegics”!
Has anyone seen the sweet face and those sad eyes of the poor darling? he was just obeying orders and now …
All these stories make me sick! It is always the innocent that must pay the price!

People like this should be fixed to where they can’t breed and make more vicious creatures like themselves and they should also be ordered by the courts to never have an animal.

Thank you Sissy. I am trying to reach them, but they are very busy and I’m on hold. Hopefully they are being flooded with calls about Snaps right now. I don’t like his name though. How about Victim or even something cute, like Sweet Pea? He needs a nice name. I may have to try to call them back. I am still on hold. thanks again Sissy.
Oh well, Sissy, I tried. The guy that answered sounded a bit tired of calls. Say’s he’s the only one working. Snaps is being held per the Sheriff’s request and it’s up to them and the DA’s office to determine poor Snaps fate. He may be kept longer than the 10 day quartine period, but this man was not sure. Also, he has not seen Snaps at all. If there is to be any impact made, we need to find a contact # for the local Sheriff’s office and the Da handling the case.
The dog should be re homed, absolutely. The look on it’s face is proof that he or she is fully confused. This makes me solidify that there really is no justice or fairness in this sad world. My brothers and sisters spent many days caring for ourselves when my parents were not home, we were “latch key” kids for some time, but we did not go around abusing animals. Sometimes a young boy or girl will tease an animal because they are ignorant towards them, but I do not see a bright future for these rejects. It is the level of violence that dictates it.

Sorry, but I think they need to be in the juvenille slammer until their 18! The dog needs to be taken away from the violent home it came from and rehabilitated.

I agree Kat, and I feel that their parents should face the same criminal charges as the offenders because they are supposed to know where their children are and what they are doing. I hope the women who were attacked sue them for everything they’ve got.
It’s not right that a dog should suffer because of their crimes.

If it was possible to join another specie’s I would because the human race is full of monsters. I would like to see these so called human kids walk out in front of speeding car and save us all the problem of dealing with them when they are bigger monster’s!!!!
