Passionate when it comes to my canine companions as well as dogs everywhere, it's my mission to raise awareness of any issues that affect them, from their health, food and nutrition and training to their welfare. Canine advocacy is something that everyone who cares about dogs needs to be aware of and we all need to share that and raise our voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Puppy Found Beaten and Duct Taped

9 Month Old puppy, beaten and duct taped What kind of a sick and twisted person would do something so cruel and vicious as to duct tape a puppy’s front and hind legs, wrap tape around it’s head and beat it almost to death?

That’s what some farm workers found this morning off the roadway near a hops field close to the intersection of VanSlyke and Middle roads in Canyon County, Idaho.

The puppy, a shepherd mix, approximately 9 months old was alive when found but severely injured and a large amount of blood was found near the neck and head of the dog. Due to the extent of his injuries he was euthanized at Canyon County Animal Shelter.

There are no suspects at this time and if even they do find the piece of trash that did this, animal cruelty in Idaho is only a misdemeanor. They are continuing to investigate and hope to also find out if the puppy had an owner.

If anyone has information regarding this situation contact the Canyon County Sheriff’s office at 208-454-7531.

it’s going to keep happening and getting worse unless more strict animal abuse laws are put into effect and enforced. Think about it, people doing this do an innocent creature would have no problem doing this to a child. I see this so much and really why arn’t parents teaching their kids better these days? Because let’s be honest that is usually who are doing these heinous things, and then they go unpunished and grow up to be monsterous adults, remember Mike Vick? You know he didn’t just start abusing animals it probably started back in the hood and noone did anything about it. People who hurt animals are not right in the head or have not been taught it’s NOT OK. Something needs to be done!
