Seems everyone on getting in on the act and it’s a good thing. This is serious and needs to be treated that way. I am seeing more and more manufacturers pulling treats that were made with peanut butter since the PCA did a voluntary recall due to salmonella. I think Walmart was the first or one of the first to pull it’s Grreat Choice® dog biscuits and now the Food and Drug Administration officials called for a recall of all products containing peanut butter, peanut paste and peanut oil manufactured since Jan. 1, 2007 at the Blakely, Ga., processing center operated by Peanut Corp. of America.
Reports are saying that more than 500 people have gotten sick, there have been deaths and one pet death that may be related to salmonella tainted dog treats.
400 Peanut Butter products have been recalled. You can find the full list at the FDA – HERE.
I’ve listed the pet related products recalled as of this date and links below. Check them out!

I saw on CNN that the company knew all about this salmonella. How awful that they did not do anything about it? Greed and who cares animals will die? I hope those guys or girls get fired from their jobs and put in jail for this crime, and be used to test every product that went out with their approval and see if any of them live on?
Thanks for always keeping us updated on these things Deanna. Soooooooooo important! By the way, like how the new site is looking. New picture of our wonderful Deanna….very nice. Thanks again.
Saw that too and also that it’s up in that what, if any, charges will be filed. You can bet the families of those who lost their lives due to this will be doing some filing.
Damn shame is putting it mildly. Places that could knowingly endanger lives should be run out of business, among other things.
D.
It is important, Jessie, especially since it’s affecting now only our precious babies but us as well.
The site is coming along great. Today is the last day for it here. Some time this weekend it will be live at the new address. Thanks on the pic, my other half pinned me down and said it was time for a new pic to go with the news site and he grabbed the camera… LOL
