Susan, people who can do this have no heart or conscience and the only thing they care about are themselves, so of course they can easily fill their bellies without concern that another is beyond painfully empty. As a regular viewer of shows like "Animal Cops: Houston" and "Animal Precinct" on Animal Planet, I have noticed that so many owners who get into trouble for starving their animals look like they could lose a few pounds. As a fattie myself, I am not blaming their weight for their behavior. Rather, it illustrates that they are cruel enough to go to sleep every night on a full tummy while their dog or cat or horse is starving out in the yard. I've been through some tough economic times in my life, but I always made sure to properly care for my pets.
