Karma can truly smile on those on deserve it…

Tank was a 7-month-old, 68-pound boxer-mastiff mix dog languishing at the York County, S.C., Animal Shelter. Russell and Krystal Ewing rescued the pooch just days before he would be euthanized.

On Sunday morning, Tank returned the favor and woke his new mom and dad to alert them to a fire in the house. Everyone made it out safely.

Hemby Bridge assistant fire chief Chris Yates says the fire was confined to the laundry room, which has the washer-dryer, furnace and water heater.
Russell Ewing says the couple has insurance. But they are most thankful for the dog that saved their lives.
