Tiny Puppy Loses Life after Beating

Troy D. Goines An 8 week old, 5 lb, pitbull puppy was the victim of a brutal beating by a big tough guy in Walkersville, MD. Troy D. Goines, 30, 6′1″ and 260 lbs, brutally attacked and beat the puppy in the face and head, fracturing its skull and causing hemorrhaging. The puppy, Tequilla, who did not belong to Goines, was also blinded in the attack.

As the puppy’s condition deteriorated, he was euthanized at the consent of his owner.

Douglas’ court documents do not state what prompted the 1 a.m. argument with Chasity Rice and Daniel Eaton.

Eaton was holding the 5-pound puppy in his arms at the intersection of Treasure Avenue and Discovery Boulevard when Goines and Tracy Frost approached.

When Rice and Frost exchanged words, Frost hit Rice in the face and knocked her to the ground.

Goines, 6-foot-1 and 260 pounds, hit the dog with a closed fist, knocking Eaton and the puppy down. (Fredericks News Post)

Five weeks after the August 2 attack, Goines was finally arrested and was charged with two counts of animal cruelty, a felony and a misdemeanor.

Initially held in lieu of $12,000 bail, Goines’ bail was increased to $20,000 during a bail review hearing before District Court Judge Oliver John Cejka Jr. Goines also is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail, accused of violating probation from a 2003 armed robbery conviction in which he and a couple robbed two women at a store, taking money and jewelry.

A trial has been set for 8:30 a.m. Nov. 6 in District Court. If convicted of the felony, Goines could be sentenced to three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. The misdemeanor carries a penalty of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Wow, takes a really big tough guy to beat a little puppy to death. Wonder how this piece of trash would like to be on the receiving end of a beating that left him blind with brain hemorrhaging? And yet again, a pitbull is the victim of this senseless killing and abuse.

When is this kinda thing going to stop? When is mankind going to start being “man-KIND”? Why is it always the big tough guys hurting the little defensless critters, so many sicko’s in this world. This makes me mad and sad and once again feeling that I like animals alot more than people.

I can only say: what goes around comes around. He will pay for it and I hope that the price will be high! My suggestion: euthanize him! We don’t need people like that in our society.
Unfortunately too late for the poor puppy. What’s wrong with the world?
