Just another fact that Mr. Valley failed to mention in his support of his relative. Our mayor seemed to think that we could afford about that much extra money to line HIS pocket each year when he origionally asked for his humongous raise. He didn’t get nearly what HE thought we could spare for him. SO.. yeah, 50K… Build the damn shelter and get the dogs off the street. YOU wanted to be responsible for our citizens… be responsible! UGH! You could start with the brand new Tundra you bought yourself to ride around in, Even though, as an attorney, surely you already had a nice vehicle.
Not that anyone will do anything. The thugs and theives run this city now.

It seems that you don’t have all the facts. Please understand, the Humane Society had the “animal shelter” shut down stating that the conditions were too poor. Ok, point taken. However, rather than taking the animals anywhere themselves, they–the Human Society–placed the animals at the city sanitary department. At the sanitary? Are the dogs trash? Moreover, the dogs were in four pins in the hot sun! Come on! These “animal lovers” left the dogs in what I consider “worst conditions” for five (5) months. The sanitation workers, who had no experience caring for animals, were uncomfortable. After repeated efforts to get help with a bad situation, the mayor did what he thought was best–let the dogs fend for themselves. Finding better conditions should have been the Humane Society’s job!

What kind of “idiot” would do this? I say one who has a heart, one who is on the front line seeing it all happen. Would you prefer euthanizing them?

The Humane Society has only raised $700 to do anything worth while for the animal shelter and Mayor Valley mentioned that it will take minimum of $50K to have a decent shelter. It really sounds like the Humane Society cares (sarcasm meant).

Mayor Valley is a JOKE, you should see this town.
It takes months to get anything done around here.
All you get is the run around. I was not surprised
when I heard about what HE decided to do about the
stray dogs. That is just the way he runs everything
in this town.PASS THE BUCK. I don’t believe for a minute that the dog catcher was biten or hurt on the job, if you call them all they do is drive by, if you see them
at all. James Valley is a JOKE………………

I live in this town. The Mayor has done many things I don’t agree with but this was just stupid and cruel. I wish someone would press charges against him, but that will not happen. He is just a crook looking to line his own pockets.

Domestic dogs cannot survive when dumped in the country or forest….think about it…they don’t run down and catch other animals to eat…don’t catch mice..don’t eat bugs…starvation is a cruel, slow painful death…how are they supposed to fend off large preditors like coyotes, bob cats, bears etc…..those poor dogs are lost…take a stand now to prevent further abuse…for the Mayors punishment, he should be dropped off for a week in the forest…wonder what food and water he will find….wonder how he will fend off preditor animals…take up a petition and get the Mayor out of town…it’s a proven fact peoplke who abuse animals will abuse other people too…..
