Dogs Will Not Be Given Back To Big Sandy Women

A hearing at the Upshur County Justice Center, Friday morning, has ensured that two suspects will not regain custody of 8 dogs seized from a Big Sandy home. Witnesses testified about the state of the dogs when seized, and the judge remanded custody of the animals to the Gregg County Humane Society. The defendants in the case, Lisa Lide and Vicky Greenlee waived their right to attend the hearing. They are the owners of a home in Big Sandy where nearly 100 dead animals were found; many in coolers.

Both remain jailed, charged with a state felony of animal cruelty. Lide and Greenlee were also judged financially responsible for the care and expense of the dogs while in the shelter. (KLTV)
