Meet Stump, this year’s Westminster top dog, a 10-year-old Sussex Spaniel.  Stump is the oldest dog ever to be crowned top dog, the first Sussex Spaniel to win the Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show title and he has quite a story behind him.  At 5-years-old he contracted a bacterial infection that almost ended his life and required him to spend 19 days in an intensive care unit.

His entry into the show was almost on a whim and was a last minute decision, just within a week of the show.

What a beautiful dog and a great story!
