I do volunteer work at the DCSPCA and I had the privilege of meeting Sally a few weeks ago – she looked great physically but still seemed lost and confused, and her tail wagged only half-heartedly. But now I was so thrilled to see the video where she looks like a happy care-free dog now – she has come a long way – thank God for miracles. And I am totally impressed with the staff at the DCSPCA – they are SO caring and love every single animal there – every dog there gets a good walk every single day. There are a bunch of dog walkers including me – I have limited time to spend there but the others won’t leave til every dog is walked. It’s heartwarming. I pray for all the abused dogs whose outcomes are not as happy as Sally’s (

New York really needs to upgrade their animal abuse and neglect laws. I am always so disgusted to hear that such heinous crimes are misdemeanors. I’m so glad that Sally found her “forever” home, too. Thanks for updating us with this story.
