I know some people think chipping is bad, but I've never seen a problem with it. I had my cat chipped years ago, and he's doing just fine. They obviously are better equipped, both financially and emotionally, to give Ellis the life he deserves. From the sounds of it, the Gonzales-Garcia family weren't taking too good of care of him and didn't actively look for him when he went missing. I say, let the dog decide who he wants to be with.....where does he seem the happiest? I think the dog should stay with the Morris family.
