Latest Recall – Natural Balance

The latest recall is from Dick Van Pattens’ Natural Balance Pet Foods. This comes from their website today.

We are receiving consumer complaints regarding the Venison & Brown Rice Dry Dog Food, and Venison & Green Pea Dry Cat Foods. We do not know what is wrong with the food at this time, but we have heard that animals are vomiting and experiencing kidney problems. Although the problems seem to be focused on one particular lot, as a precautionary measure, we are pulling all dates of Venison & Brown Rice Dry Dog Food and Venison & Green Pea Dry Cat Food from the shelves.

Please discontinue feeding all Venison and Brown Rice Dry Dog Food, and Venison and Green Pea Dry Cat Food.

We are working closely with the FDA.
We will update this website today, as more information comes available

The really scary thing for me here is that I feed my Jezzie and Bruti Natural Balance along with a homemade diet! Buggin Luckily I haven’t been using this formula. I think I’m going to be going completely homemade with everything that’s going on. Who knows what they’re going to be adding to the list next?Question Mark

Greatest Online Community for Dogs!!

Ok, last Thanksgiving, 2006, I was just sitting home with my kids and watching the dog show on TV.  Now, I’m not much of a TV watcher but who can resist a dog show?? :D  So anyway heard a promo for Dogster, among many others, and for some reason it caught my attention and I decided to check it out.

Turned out to be about the greatest online site for dogs and dog lovers you can possibly imagine!!!  It’s like Friendster or MySpace for dogs.  You can meet alot of other dog-minded people, get great information on anything from health and nutrition to laws and legislation to grooming and training and behavior.  It also functions as an adoption and rescues site.  And to top all of that off, it’s free!!! Yup, costs nothing to join up and be a member!

At of this date, there’s about 275 thousand (yup, thousand!) dogs with an average of about 400-500 more added everyday!

So, if you’re interested in fun and frivolity, or looking for some great information, or want to get involved with helping rescues, or are looking to adopt a new family member, plus much, much more…. check out Dogster!

And if you want a tickle and a laugh, check my Jezzie and Bruti’s fun Dogster pages!! 😀
