I’ve written about Internet Dog Scams again and again and people are still getting taken by these scammers because they tug at your heartstrings. They use God and sad stories and sweet dogs and puppies. You’ll find ads all over the internet and now they’re even invading our email inboxes.
How do I know? Because I’ve gotten them. I like to hope that everyone is smart enough not to fall for this stuff but there are too many people out there who really don’t know. This is what I got:

Please keep this in mind as you scan your email, especially if you use ‘throwaway’ email addresses like Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. Share this with everyone you know, don’t let anyone become the victim of scammers!

I thought I was buying A Saint Berdoodle puppy from a Red Cross worker in Spain. Some how it ended up 3 Saint Berdoodle puppies were being shipped to me. The price was $600 shipping included. That was Janurary 13, 2008. It is now June 2, 2008 and $9000 later I still do not have the puppies. The story is they are being held in Charleston, West Virginia for another fee of $800. After I sent the money to A Whaeed Bello in Africa I find out that it probably was a scam. I hadn’t heard of the scams from Africa till I sent all the money. They played on my emotions and my love for a Saint Bernard and I fell hook, line and sinker. Would you believe all I wanted was a puppy to love. Please to any one who read this be careful who you buy from. Not only on the Internet but in the paper ads too. thank You !!!
Lorraine, I am so sorry to hear your sad story. Hopefully people will read this and learn the lesson without having to go through the heartbreak you have had to.
Maybe if you still want a puppy to love you can try a local shelter. There are so many puppies and dogs so desperately in need of a home and love.
